WHO WE ARE

We are a conservation genetics research group based at the Centre of Applied Zoology, Cornwall College Newquay, with an overall aim to expand the knowledge about different species, through genetic sequencing and analysis.

We plan to carry out multiple genetic based projects on a range of taxa, to better understand the population structure and conservation status of different species.

We feel conservation needs to be a priority now more than ever, and genetic analysis provides an accurate insight into the effects of the Anthropocene era. Our research aims to inform, educate and contribute to a growing field.
